About this event

Join us online, via Zoom, on the final day of the Urban Tree Festival, where we will celebrate the fruits of our labours at a Show & Tell event. Where we will look at Wikipedia articles about all things arboreal, including notable trees from history and literature, which have been created, updated and improved during this online edit-a-thon.

To get things started we are also holding an online launch event, via Zoom, at the start of the festival on Saturday 15th May, starting at 11:00 BST. No previous Wikipedia experience is necessary; this is a friendly, open and welcoming environment to try your hand at some editing!

Please use use #wiktreepedia on social media to share details of your work in progress, including links to tree related articles that you create or improve during the festival.

Also follow the British Library’s Digital Scholarship blog, which will be used to share information from the edit-a-thon organisers.
